Because most of the world does not attend U$C, it is
important to donate time and money to those in need.
Our brothers play an active role in the community and participate in various
philanthropic programs across the globe. Additionally, AEΠ takes
part in all sorority philanthropies, working to raise money for
charities.
In recent years, we have taken first place in Gamma
Phi Beta's Home Run Derby, Delta Gamma's Anchor Splash, Kappa Delta's
Daggerman, and Delta Delta Delta's philanthropy.
Charities we contribute to are: Project Angelfood - JUST for a day - Ronald
McDonald house - Storybook Theatre-- SWC Blood Drive - Magen David
Adom-Katrina Foundations-Muscular Dystrophy Association
Last year was the first year in which we put on an amazing philanthropy for the UCLA community. With over seven thousand dollars raised through last year’s Row Cup planned by past Lieutenant Master Trevor Klitofsky, next year’s philanthropy looks to be an even greater success. In conjunction once again with Alpha Delta Pi, the AEPi/ADPi Row Cup will be held next fall on November 15th, 2008. With the tradition we have set of donating our funds to those causes that affect the brothers the most, we will be donating the proceeds from our philanthropy to the Melanoma Research Foundation and the USC Norris Center for Cancer Research. Nonetheless, we will be looking to members of the community as well as alumni for contributions of any kind towards our event. For more information or to get involved please email Jason Youdeem (jasonyoudeem@ucla.edu) or Bryan Wittlin (bwittlin@gmail.com).
